First, the ball was pitched 4 times to Boston's Benintendi- resulting in a single to center.This would be career hit #362 for Benintendi. Next, the ball would be pitched in the dirt for Ball 1 to Mookie Betts and removed from play. Betts would hit a 2-run homer moments later (with a different baseball), scoring Benintendi.
