For sale is a truly unique collectable from the NLDS- Game 4 clincher in San Francisco on 10/7/2014- the elimination game between the San Francisco Giants and the top-seeded, visiting Washington Nationals. This game was won by the Giants, 3-2, to take the series en route to their 3rd World Series championship in 5 years. This specific ball was the final authenticated ball of Game 4 and the entire NLDS- used with two outs in the top of the 9th inning. The ball was pitched twice for the first two pitches of the four-pitch at-bat between Giants closer Santiago Casilla and Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos. This ball was'freshly' placed in the game to start the at-bat with Ramos, after the previous ball 4/pitch in the dirt to Bryce Harper. Casilla is shown in the photos holding this exact baseball before his first pitch to Ramos (a ball). Ramos would foul this ball off on its second offering, and it was removed from play. Two pitched later, Ramos would be retired (with a different ball) to end the NLDS and propel the Giants on to an NLCS with the Cardinals.
