For sale is a truly unique collectable from the 2014 NLDS between the San Francisco Giants and the Washington Nationals. This listing is for (1) MLB authenticated game-used ball from Game 1 (10/3/2014) of the 2014 NLDS- in Washington DC, won by the Giants 3-2. This specific ball was used for a pitch by Giants reliever Sergio Romo to Anthony Rendon, in the bottom of the 8th inning. Rendon would foul this ball off the screen (and it would be subsequently authenticated) but he would reach base on a single (with another ball). Romo would eventually get himself out of a jam, earning a hold in the Giants second victory of their 2014 Postseason title run.

The authentication is input by the on-site MLB authenticators, who apply the holograms and enter the details of the play. This ball carries the hologram - HZ 489467.
