For sale is a truly unique game-used collectable tying from the historic 1094th game played by Boston Red Sox star shortstop, Xander Bogaerts. On 6/3/2022, Bogaerts would set a franchise record for games played at shortstop for one of the oldest and most historic teams in the Majors, the Boston Red Sox. Bogaerts would be the offensive star of the game going 2/5 with a Homer and 3rbis. In the field, Bogaerts would play all 9 innings but record just 2 assists and a putout, logging three total touches of the baseball on defense in this historic game as a fielder.

This specific ball was used in the bottom of the 7th for the final one of those touches, and may in fact likely be the only ball authenticated that Bogaerts played in the field that day. The ball was first used for 5 pitches by Tyler Danish resulting in a single by A's utility man, Chad Pinder. Next, in a 1-0 count, the ball would be struck by Sean Murphy to Bogaerts, who would field it cleanly and start at 6-4-3 double-play, relaying to Trevor Story who would record the out at 2nd and then assist the putout to Bobby Dalbec at 1st base.
